Three 'Other'-Tagged Surgers All Fell. What About Press-Only Picks?

Seoul — Of the surging stocks we covered this week, 12 had at least one trading day afterward. The three tagged 'Other' (earnings, rights offering and similar) all fell, averaging -12.3%. The seven that rested on press reports alone averaged +0.2%, roughly flat.

RaonSecure and Sangji Construction were covered on Oct. 30, so no trading day followed. The gap between the article-time price and the close is a same-day change, so we left both out. We also left out Intellivix, which rose 251.67% on its debut day.

Press. The seven press-only stocks averaged +0.2%, and three of them rose. Seoul Semiconductor added 2.1% after its limit-up day. Lunit gained 4.8% and Contec 7.8% from Oct. 26. Vuno fell 11.8% from the same day. Genmab (-0.4%) and ICON (-1.3%) barely moved.

Other. All three fell. TNE Korea rose 39.87% on its day and then dropped 26.9%. Glaukos fell 2.0% and Bausch Health 8.0%. Both had earnings filings behind the jump. Three stocks is a small sample.

Filing and no reason. Axogen was the only filing-backed case and rose 0.2%. CTR Mobility, with no reason found, fell 8.9%. Each is a sample of one, too small for a comparison.
